WSBA: Taking the Matter to a Review Committee
Posted On Dec 16 2015In Oregon, the state supreme court refers to lawyers involved in bar discipline matters as the “accused.” I sense I am about to become an “accused,” again — a “respondent” in a disciplinary proceeding. WSBA counsel sent a letter to me which arrived yesterday saying she had transmitted the grievance and her work to a Review Committee. She is asking the Review Committee to “order the matter to hearing.” I spent an uncomfortable afternoon thinking of what might befall me.
